As with all working operating systems’s, Microsoft likes to change the way it does things from time to time. You’ll find it tough to discover, if your searching for the google web cache files. The’ve hidden and encoded the files, with a method that was totally new and now provides a completely different set of challenges.

Microsoft made it challenging to manage this sort of google web cache, and are now protected by the system. Your internet’s bandwidth is now managed totally by the newer windows 10 operating system, if installed from new. It has been given the ability to install any applications that it sees fit to. There is no regard to the user as adverts are shown to the user at anytime, without the user being ability to control them. It could be a little restricted at the moment, but  you know that they’ll get worse.

It’s true, that inside the depths of windows, functions record and analyse everything that you do. It’s with the aim of understanding what you do online as an individual.

Google web cache designers see that most web pages that are built, mostly following the same format. From within the same website, such as those built using a wordpress format etc, the same webpages are downloaded over and over again. So it makes sense that a way was needed to download just the changes and not download the unchanged parts of the page, but save those bits on the hard drive for later retrieval.

So the term web-cache was born. The google web cache is a space and it is for the web-browser that determines what information is wanted and organises.

For instance, when you go to a internet web page on any website, the browser will render and display it. It downloads the html and images into the google web cache. For each page that you visit on the site, because a copy of the web page is in the google web cache, the picture will not change and so doesn’t get downloaded again.

Because lots of files, such as cookies, java, media, text files and all manner of documents are included within the google web cache, it is quite possible that all of your activities are being watched and recorded on your pc especially, if you’re using the windows 10. On this sort of system, a cache killer program becomes much more in demand. Browsing, writing emails, sending and receiving, all of these items, windows can see and it does record. Windows 10 was a massive change in terms of coding. A huge amount of the operating system was changed by microsoft. It has no bearing or resemblance to it’s older operating systems, and you have to wonder why. It’s been built with tracking and recording facilities as part of the system.

The google web cache is for storing data each time that you browse the internet. Adding and storing data in the cache, will cause it to grow and this can get to extremely large sizes. This will lead to various issues, and errors will start to appear as you save files onto the hard drive. You will notice small errors at first, such as systematic freezes of the operating system. More serious errors such as no disk space left, when you no there is. Not being able to write to the hard drive, files suddenly going missing, and behaviour which resembles virus or malware behaviour start to happen.

In brief, some of the symptoms to look out for are the following,

  • Systematic, and brief freezes of the windows operating system.
  • Missing data when downloads have been completed.
  • Not being able to copy and paste files to the hard drive.
  • Random errors that cannot be explained.

The google cache sits between the customer’s browser and the remote internet web server. The google web cache stores all sorts of files. Media and all variety of files, such as mp3, mp4 are utilized to assemble a webpage, all are stored into the google web cache. I recommend that you do something about it yourself if you’re worried about your privacy being tracked. Installing a cache killer program will help, and it’ll handle the rest. The cache will always be a part of the internet process. When there is not an online connection is available, these websites can stay accessible. Since most browsers save media. Using this method, it reduces the quantity of information, and bandwidth allocation is particularly important, if you’re using a limited data connection. Microsoft has had to take care of a great deal of enquires, saying that their operating system monitors to much of what we do. Keystrokes recorders are on the top of the list, and privacy concerns is 2nd.

Cookies are a handy and nice way to transmit data info from a site to a another, or in between sessions, as it saves having to re-load the users data.Creating cookie  occurs as soon as the submit button is pressed to send the data, and when a new webpage seen. The cookie production will fail, in you have elected not to use cookies, and the site will ask then the user to input the details again. Cookies will contain username and password information, also address details, and any other information that could be useful to the website that requests it. Cookies enable information and details to be passed between website session and saves a great deal of time. Users also tend to get a little annoyed if they have to enter the same information over and over again.

The google cache does not really have an absolute size limit, and is governed by the space available on your hard drive. The data which is stored which has not been used for a particular time is discarded, so that the space could be re-used when the cache starts to fill and reach its chosen size. That’s a straight forward explanation.

When first seen, Microsoft’s Internet Explorer, created the storage area in a certain are on the hard drive. This might be saved in %userprofile %\settings and local\temp. The location changes according to the install. The google web cache was modified by microsoft when it’s newer Vista system was released. Each release of an operating system by microsoft, always see’s a change to the webcache and the way the data is recorded.

Internet explorer has a way of cleaning the cache by itself, but does not seem to be that reliable.  You can tell it which files to delete upon exit, but in our experience, it does not delete everything. You are always left wondering if the cache hes been cleaned completely. It certainly cannot clean the cache in real time.

Then there is the concerns to hacking the data from the google web cache. As long as a computer is connected to the internet, and data is stored in the cache, you will never be certain that it’s not being hacked.  Cookies themselves do not pose much of a risk, but you do have to use a cache killer application, otherwis you might have problems. Microsoft admits and states that windows 10 does have monitoring and spying is automatic, and will not be stopped.

You can browse to the location of the web cache but caution is required when looking to this area, as microsoft designed the webcache to be protected for lots of security reasons. When you attempt to select and look into and click on any of the documents contained inside, a warning will be flagged by the system. It’s deliberate, since the system limits what the user can click on. It does as a precaution, without you even knowing about it, since you may be downloading programs like viruses or malware.

Slower load times are had when the data files aren’t located in the web-cache, because the browser first has to search the cache, then decide if its found the right files, if it hasn’t, then go to the internet and re-download new files to construct the webpage.

Part of the monitoring process in progress by microsoft is, it will list any modifications you may make to the operating system, they will know straight away. Also don’t forget about the keylogger installed as well.

To start a quick browser refresh, F5 is the key. Press this key and it will force the browser to download a new copy of the webpage you are currently viewing. This will force the browser to go to the webpage for the updated webpage, and to not reload from the google web cache.
